Mint

The draw.

Eighteen tokens, each edition sized by a number from its own result. Sixty-five researchers, each a one-of-one, pulled at random along the way. Gate-pass holders draw first.

Draw

Not minting yet. The draw opens here.

  1. Your wallet

Any Solana wallet: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack and others.

    Looking for wallets…

  2. Your draw

    Connect a wallet to draw.

  3. Your draws

Each draw waits for its randomness, then reveals in order. Anyone can reveal the next in line, paying only the network fee.

    None yet.

The page reads the sale and shows the full cost before your wallet asks. It never asks for a seed phrase, a private key or a token approval: only a signature on the draw you see.

  1. Deploy

The obit and the first event mint to the author. One postulate. One first event.

  2. The gate pass

A compressed NFT on Solana, good for one free draw. It can’t be sold or transferred: it stays with the wallet it was sent to. Passes go to holders of a memecoin on Solana by snapshot: a record of which wallets hold the coin at one moment. The coin hasn’t launched. Its name, the minimum to hold and the snapshot date will be announced. Each qualifying wallet gets its pass directly: there’s nothing to link or claim. See the gate pass page.

  3. The allowlist opens

Opening the allowlist mints every pass at once, straight to every qualifying wallet. It happens once: no pass is minted after it. From then on a pass is good for one free draw, with no deadline. Each unclaimed pass holds a slot in reserve, so the editions can’t sell out from under a pass holder. Until the public draw opens, pass holders can also buy more draws. A used pass is stamped used and stays with its holder as a keepsake.

  4. Public

When the public draw opens, anyone draws, at about $5 each in SOL, up to ten per transaction.

  5. The draw

You don’t pick a token. Each draw takes a random slot from the 2,955 that remain and becomes that token’s next edition — Fine Structure #42/137. Small editions are rare because they’re small.

  6. The rare pull

Every draw can also pull one of the 65 researcher portraits. The odds are portraits left ÷ slots left, like a shuffled deck: if every slot is drawn, every portrait is pulled, and the first minter’s odds equal the last’s.

  7. The reveal

Each draw asks ORAO, a verifiable random function on Solana, for its randomness. Its items, and any portrait it pulls, come from that answer, which no minter and no one running the sale can predict or change. Draws reveal in order, usually within a minute, and anyone can reveal the next in line. If ORAO never answers, the draw can be cancelled after a day, and everything comes back but ORAO’s fee.

  8. The cascade

When the last fixed slot is drawn, the series reaches its asymptote and the cascade opens: an open edition at the same price, drawn from a pool of 4,096 rolled in advance. It may also open before that. It stays open until the close.

  9. The close

The close ends the public draw and the cascade. Any slots still unsold go to the author, drawn by the same randomness, so their traits can’t be chosen. Slots held for unclaimed passes stay claimable.

  10. What a draw costs

Besides the price, every draw pays Solana’s own costs: about 0.003 SOL per item for the NFT’s storage, which stays with the NFT, and about 0.002 SOL per transaction for the randomness. A free draw costs only these: about 0.005 SOL. About twice that is held while the draw waits, and the rest comes back. The draw shows the exact sum before your wallet asks.

  11. Permanent

Every item is a Metaplex Core NFT on Solana. Its plate, its live piece and its metadata are on Arweave, stored for good, and every trait was dealt before the sale from a published seed.
